fog

the mist is rolling in,
heavy on hearts,
and darkening days,
the mist is rolling in.

like in no man's land,
it's falling down,
a lingering veil,
in no man's land.

from over the river,
a cry of regret,
a day smothered,
from over the river.

the mist is rolling in,
the sun is blotted out,
the fears are boiling up,
rolling in.

I like this one. It's short and relatively simple in its writing, and that feels right. And the last stanza is pretty awesome. <3

About me: I'm pretty chipper on the outside, as you may have noticed, but I do have a bunch of really strange thoughts somewhere in my head. I try to relieve the pressure by writing, but when I see too much of the strange stuff, it's kind of intimidating because it's right in front of me, not behind my eyes where it's supposed to be. I think. Something like that, anyway.
