dead waters
thirty-thousand sighs
you took me up and strung me
down.
and if i had to ask
i'd ask you why
why would anyone ask for this
oh, dover's cliffs
they sit forever
pulsing sounds of saline cries
you gathered flowers
lilies
why?
my eyes are sloping
two sockets full of love
they cry for water, oceans
wouldn't cure this lust
and somewhere, somewhere in this
cosmic coincidence
i drew the short stick
