it's not like i'm afraid of the dark
but sometimes i prefer the light.
and sometimes
i prefer to be afraid.
rock music deludes me
and bomber jackets keep me warm
but dreams keep me alive
like some damn alcoholic,
some egotist on a powertrip,
and it makes me wonder
if i can really
do it.
